Cost: $FREE$
Participants: As we would like the workshop to be a steppingstone to becoming a trainee, we would like that those attending be at least 16 years or older. “K” and “B” candidates encouraged to attend as will assist in meeting sections in exam.
Times: Friday Session 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Saturday Session 8:30am – 4pm
Sunday Session 8:30am – 4pm Light Refreshments will be provided
WORKSHOP DETAILS The workshop will be over 2 ½ days and will cover:
• Introduction – Purpose & objectives of the course
• Roles & responsibilities of the course designer & judge – working together as a team
• Preparing to design a course – basic principles & computer drawings
• Designing and building – practical application with demonstration riders
• How to construct & measure obstacles correctly and how measure & construct a combination
• Course measuring & types of classes
• How to become an accredited Pony Club course designer – presentation of Pathway.
Outcome: Candidates attending will gain the basics of course design, understanding Showjumping classes and what makes a good and well ridden course.
